Welcome to Little Theatre of Norfolk

About Us

Home_About

Visit the Chelsea neighborhood of Norfolk, and you will be welcomed by the bold red facade of Little Theatre of Norfolk. While this intimate 210-seat playhouse was initially built in 1949, Little Theatre of Norfolk has been a continuously operating community theatre since 1926. Back then, when the Little Theatre Movement was spreading across the country, the group operated out of a former horse stable on York Street downtown. After purchasing our home on Claremont Avenue in 1949, (renovated into a 186 seat playhouse with a brand new floor in 2010), Little Theatre of Norfolk has grown to produce full mainstage seasons, provide educational workshops, community opportunities, and offers an annual scholarship.

Looking for a space rental quote? Please fill out our Google Form with information about your event. LTN’s Board discusses and votes on space rental requests at their meetings every month. If you need faster assistance, please fill out the form first, then notify the Production Chair at production@ltnonline.org to see if a decision can be expedited.

We thank you for your patience with our all-volunteer staff.
